Le Trump now has more to worry about than just a lesbian with an appetite for destruction.
The Combover King is being sued by a dissed wannabe reality star who claims he was rejected from Donald’s The Apprentice because of his age.
Richard Hewett was 49 when his application for the popular show, in which the winner secures a lucrative job in Mr Trump’s business empire, was rejected in July 2005. Now he is claiming that Mr Trump, who is estimated to be worth $2.7 billion (£1.4 billion), and the show’s producers are guilty of age discrimination. “People watching the show get the impression that if you want to work for a big organisation like the Trump organisation then you have to be young,” Mr Hewett said. In court papers, Mr Hewett claims that in six series only two contestants over 40 have won places on the show. But Mr Trump disputed the claim, saying: “We have had very few people over a certain age apply to be on the show. “If they did and we liked them, we would love to cast them.” Mr Hewett, who is seeking unspecified damages, said: “The outcome I am looking for would be to see a recognition that it’s in everyone’s interest to expand the diversity of the candidates on the show.”
Since when did reality television become a Constitutional Right? This is all the world needs right now, more frivolous lawsuits that eat up time and money from the greater issues at hand. I’m going to go file a complaint right now because Flava Flav didn’t pick me to wear the Grill at the end of Flava of Love. I demand my right to the Bling!
